I am a mixed media, expressionist artist living and working in Manhattan.
My work.
A reflection of the unconscious beauty of the city and its friction between gloss and grit - "Post No Bills" posters and discarded construction wood are curated into statements that are no longer public and fleeting, but private and preserved. Identity is stripped via additive and subtractive marks creating a blur between what is conscious and unconscious art.
My art is mostly composed of materials and imagery that are otherwise discarded or ignored, and I want to give them new life and meaning. I want to acknowledge an existence of art amongst noise, expression amongst apathy, and voice amongst anonymity.
